Shots of War

Copy of the first and only edition of the exhibition catalog "Shots Of War" with photos by Tony Vaccaro, who died at the age of 100 Dec. 2022. It contains Vaccaros most famous photos taken in France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany 1944 - 1945. Mr. Vaccaro was part of the 83rd infantry division, which landed on Omaha Beach two weeks after D-Day and arrived at the Hurtgenwald battle in Germany in December of 1944 after participating in the liberation of Luxembourg. The book also documents the crossing of the Elbe River and the first encounters with the Red Army prior to the Torgau Elbe meeting.
